Who We Are
Patient greeters fulfill a very important function. In addition to the larger issue of defending a person's right to bodily autonomy and the ability to access services and information, patient greeters also support the well-being of patients, staff, and visitors when they come to PPAU.
What We Do
To join the volunteer patient greeter program, everyone must go through our general volunteer process plus an additional Patient Greeter training. We have an extensive vetting and training process in place to ensure that volunteers are aware of the risks that may be involved with volunteering with PPAU and are willing to strictly adhere to our zero-tolerance non-engagement and confidentiality policies.
